'Aqua En Cita'

LED lights, dry ice, terracotta vessels wrapped in black rubber.

‘Aqua en Cita’ explores the movement and interplay of nature (represented by dry ice) within human made environments/cities (represented by lights). It reflects the primal need to search for nature’s rhythm within a system of human made constructs. This interplay is portrayed through contrasting shapes of round black torches that project white square light and intermingle with the fog and crackling sound of dry ice.  In a darkened, quiet space the senses are heightened to absorb organic sound and shadows in relation with sharp lights against the stark white wall. The lights are arranged in nature’s ‘Golden Ratio’ to provide a sense of balance and continuity within the space; nature’s rhythm always continues to exist and strives to create balance within this bombardment of city lights.
